McDowell Mountain Ranch is a master planned community in North Scottsdale. McDowell Mountain Ranch offers residents two different areas for activities or fitness. The McDowell Center is home to the community administrative offices as well as offering space that residents can rent for a variety of celebrations including bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, weddings and receptions. This space is also well suited for birthday and graduation parties, or meetings and workshops.
The McDowell Center provides residents with two lap lanes for swimming, a toddler pool, hot tub, one tennis court, basketball court, and pickleball courts. There is a dedicated area for volleyball, a ramada, tables and two grills. This area is also available for private functions.
The Recreation Center features a family pool, toddler pool, hot tub, covered play area, two tennis courts, splash pad basketball court, three ramadas and two grills.
McDowell Mountain Ranch is served by the Scottsdale Unified School District. Nearby schools include Desert Canyon Elementary School, Desert Canyon Middle School, and Desert Mountain High School. There are also a variety of private schools from which to choose.
